Days 16-18

In case you've been wondering what I've been up to the past 3 days, here's an update.

First, I've been working on the written portion of my qualification exam. In the spirit of transparency, I've uploaded my written proposal to the open science framework (here's the link to my proposal). Feel free to send me your questions or comments.

Next, I attended a workshop on GPU programming by NVIDIA. While the workshop was taught in C, I learned a lot about the GPU hardware and how to integrate GPU programming into python scripts using PyCUDA. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sexy new (refurbished) Lenovo Z710 Intel i7-4700QM 1920x1080 GT745M 16GB 1TB WIN8 17.3" Gaming Laptop, so I can play around with the GPU.

That's about it. Today I'll resume where I left off last week, testing subcortical source localization on simulated data.
